This National Dog Day, we wanted to give everyone the chance to meet the dogs that make our days a little brighter. They're not always around the office, but they're part of the SSW family all the same: the ones waiting at home, the walking buddies, the reason for a lunchtime break outside. Today we're celebrating them and the joy they bring, even from a distance. Scroll through to meet the pups behind the paws!

Onyx: Oldest, Wildest, Most Loved

Onyx was born in May 2015, making her the oldest of the bunch. She’s been full of personality ever since. She’s happiest outdoors, whether she’s hiking through the woods, camping under the stars, keeping the local cat population on their toes, or sneaking into the chicken coop.

Millie: Our Resident Tug-of-War Champion

Millie is a Blue Heeler, just two years old, and she’s easily one of the most lovable dogs we’ve ever known. We rescued her from the streets, and she’s never forgotten what it means to be loved, giving that love right back tenfold. She’s incredibly close with the youngest members of the family and just as gentle and playful with kids in general. Give her a game of tug-of-war or a good wrestling match, and you’ll have made a friend for life.

Nix: The Cactus Bandit

Nix came into the world on June 1, 2017, and found his way home from the pound that November. Now 9, his name (Latin for ‘snow’) suits his light coat and easygoing nature perfectly, though that calm exterior has its limits. Cactus fruit is his weakness, and every escape from the yard in pursuit of it has left its mark, quite literally, on his nose

Cocoa: The Wiggle Butt with a Heart of Gold

Cocoa is a 6-year-old rat terrier, rescued right here in Roswell, and she’s known around the office for her endless energy. She rarely sits still for long, especially when a walk is on offer, which is easily her favorite part of the day. Even getting a decent photo of her is a challenge; she’s a certified wiggle butt who’s always in motion. But that restless energy comes with a whole lot of love to match.

Abigal: Certified Baddie, Full-Time Menace

Abby is a mini Aussie mix who joined her family in March 2023. She’s a certified baddie, with beautiful lashes, the finest of dining, always dressed to impress, but don’t let the glam fool you. She runs at full sprint (good luck keeping up), treats every meal as fair game, and has claimed a few hats and bags as casualties. She also hates being alone and wants to be right in the middle of everything.
